We don't really shop that much these days, but when we do
it's usually at a craft store.
During my
mom's
last outing to pick up some needed supplies, she also picked up a flyer
for a plant sale.
She had spotted a van
like ours and after introducing herself and visiting for a bit, we were both
invited to a plant sale up in Tehachapi.
Of course we had to go check it out.
Along the way we stopped at the BNC to deliver some flowers from our
garden,
Murray Family Farms to taste test some cherries, and
Kohnen's Bakery
to try some delicious German food.
It was so much fun to meet up with the couple my mom had met
and to see their van. We shared a few
stories, met their mechanic, and also met one of their friends who came to
check out Gypsea. At one point during the
"tour" of our van, they both wanted to know where our curtains
were. Their reactions were priceless
when I showed them the sliding blinds.
It definitely reminded me that it's really the little details that
count. This short, little venture turned
out to be so unexpected and fun.
